To reflect the increasingly collaborative nature of science, this renovation and addition to the buildings housing the departments of Biology and Chemistry unites them into a single facility. new enclosed connections among the buildings are organized by a glass atrium with paths of circulation radiating from it. The light-filled atrium provides a central gathering place for students and faculty. With a glass-sided elevator and open pedestrian bridges, the atrium has become the focus of the CWRU science community.
