The Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing is housed in aging facilities needing significant renovation and renewal.Furthermore, the the floor plan organization no longer adequately address the program for nursing education as it has evolved at the School and as it will continue to evolve.

The design proposes both renovations and expansions to the existing building.The expansion consists of horizontally enlarging the 3 existing above-grade levels with a building addition of approximately 13,950 GSF (4,650 GSF per level) to the north, and vertically adding a 4th floor above this enlarged floorplate.
