The interstitial space between the Sydell & Arnold Miller Family Pavilion and Glickman Tower is home to the nondescript roof that covers, among other spaces, the winter garden between these two buildings. Administrators at The Clinic immediately recognized that this resultant negative space can be viewed from as many as 200 patient rooms in the surrounding buildings. This understanding led to the undertaking of a project whose goal was to transform this surface into a Roofscape that will provide a more visually compelling centerpiece to this block of new structures on The Clinic campus.
