Bowling Green State University
Davidson Commons, Klein, and Saylor Halls are 3-story brick buildings on the Baldwin Wallace Campus used as freshman student housing. They are linked by covered connectors on the ground floor and arranged in a line to form a building edge on the west side of Beech Street, northwest of its intersection with Church Street. The district in which the building group is located has received historic designation with these buildings listed as contributing structures.
The project proposed to redesign and renovate the 38,000 SF of all 3 buildings. The project further proposed 18,000 SF of new construction consisting of 3-story additions to the west of Klein and Saylor Halls and a new large-group gathering pavilion to the west of Davidson Commons. The finished project houses 185 students and advisors. The project includes sidewalks and patios to the west infilling between the buildings and existing parking lot.
